I have heard the hatchet story but I also heard people would find arrowheads on site as well. I think it's The Lima sites that has the town of Harlowton. There was a story going around that it was a hotbed for devil worship. The story I heard was a camper team(2 man, 1 awake and the other sleeping) and the guy who was on duty saw a small group of people in the distance with torches or something. He fell asleep and woke up with the group of people standing at the gate of the site staring at him.

One story I did hear about is supposedly true. Either the Romeo or Kilo LCF is haunted because a worker fell down the elevator shaft and the FSC and CC would get alarms about the elevator. You were a CCC so I'm guessing you heard about this and know if it's actually true.

Finally, I had a personal experience up in the Quebec silos. I cannot remember the site number but I do remember it was the LF that was furthest north. I was on a 2 man and I saw a light, like an orb that came down the road and stopped then disappeared where the access road started. I know I was tired and it was at night. Maybe my mind playing tricks on me but it looked real. I have been to Land's End in South Carolina and there are orbs there. It is well documented. Those looked similar. I just thought I'd share this with y'all.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7811150598222033655.post-89534187419547863332022-08-05T21:23:24.597-07:002022-08-05T21:23:24.597-07:00I went to Alpha-05 several times, such an isolated...I went to Alpha-05 several times, such an isolated location. One time, we did a one year inspection that took just 2 hours. While off site waiting for resets, I said *&$* the Indians (2003.) We never got a reset and it turned into waiting long enough for another team to relieve us after 12 hours. A beautiful spot to hang out at, but a long day. It’s haunted no doubt!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7811150598222033655.post-83287916169182335022021-09-04T03:50:19.268-07:002021-09-04T03:50:19.268-07:00I was an SP at MAFB in 1973. The story we heard was that it was a young mother looking for her child during a storm. She was crying and looking for help to find her lost child and motioned to follow her. Apparently, some SP did follow her and he got lost in the forrest and had to be rescued. I got a chance to go out there and see the burial mounds that the USAF moved to install the missile silo. Almost 50 years ago and I still remember that story.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10815531534299946326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7811150598222033655.post-77385691283988413642020-03-29T16:53:28.358-07:002020-03-29T16:53:28.358-07:00Sometime in the summer of 1980 ( while stationed a...Sometime in the summer of 1980 ( while stationed at MAFB) we heard of the rumors at A5. We went out late one night and all I can say is we helped keep the rumors alive. Coming up on the 40th anniversary of that escapade. On one of the missile forums, there was hint of the legend still being around as late as 2010.

When I was stationed at Grand Forks, being on staff, there was a similar story with a more modern connection. One of the LFs held the remains of a construction worker who had fallen into the quick setting concrete mixture during the site's construction. I remember one crew member telling me that there was a plaque at the site as a memorial. I never traveled to that site to verify if true. However, maintenance and launch crews reported strange or odd indications from that particular site...again, I never verified any of this. In the dream I was heading down to the Bottom of the Launch Tube to inspect the Sump pump as part our back out procedures. When I got down to the bottom my workcage lights flickered and went out (Pitch Black & common occurrence) Down under the Missile. After the standard troubleshooting steps (shake them and check the connection) they came on and standing in front of me was an Male Indian with a Tomahawk raised, ready to swing. I woke up at that point in a cold sweat and breathing Like I just ran a 100 ya dash. The next morning we dispatched to A-05 and did a Bomb swap, all day in the back of my head was the dream. The Op went smooth and all we had was the Deep Hole inspection & pull pins. My Boardman and I who I had shared my dream with went down the Umbilical corridor to start, had that nervous laughter going. When we got down to the bottom sure as Shit the Cage lights flickered and went out. I remember hearing a collective “ FuuuuuCK” and the perverbial chill run down my spine. We quickly agreed to get the Hell out of there before the lights come on. We have both since retired from the AF but, we still get a good laugh when reliving that day The power of the Mind and the tricks it can play.Bryan Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07055416055555482609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7811150598222033655.post-11364531096249317932018-02-24T18:41:11.697-08:002018-02-24T18:41:11.697-08:00I was stationed there from 1975-1978. But instead of hatchets hitting a camper, it was the door leading in to the top of the silo. Also, the story we were told is that the site separated an Indian Maiden from the love of her life. She would show herself. Instead of an old man, it was her love. We heard nothing when we were there; and it was late at night. However, what we did find, in the valley, were a large group of people with red caped gowns on, chanting something while around a huge fire. We just got out of there as fast as we could. Our dog went crazy and we left post haste. We stopped at the top of the canyon, and the dog went nuts again. You should get a copy of the original story that was in the news paper back then. Things did happen in the area of A5 but AF members wouldn't say anything as you can imagine the ridicule they would endure.paydeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13521996366927216187noreply@blogger.com
